What is Botox?
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, sometimes referred to as “Botox” by patients, is a popular injectable that temporarily reduces or eliminates facial fine lines and wrinkles.
The most commonly treated areas are frown lines, forehead creases and crow’s feet near the eyes. Several other areas have been treated such as thick bands in the neck, thick jaw muscles, lip lines and gummy smiles.
What does botox do?

How long does it take for Botox to work?
When injected properly by a medical professional (Doctor or Nurse), you can expect to see results after your first treatment. It can take two to four days before the weakening of the muscle begins and movement is stalled. You can see the maximum results of your treatment anywhere from ten to fourteen days after treatment.
How long does Botox last?
The results from Botox last anywhere between 2-6 months; the average result lasts about 3-4 months.
Everyone has a unique experience and results may vary. There will certainly be patients in which in lasts longer, in that 4-6 month range, or shorter, in that 2-month range. It is also common for first-timers to notice that it may not last as long initially but may last longer after the second treatment.
